The Z·300 amplifier will deliver 300 watts of power into two-ohm loads. This high-current, low-impedance design eliminates the need for speaker selector boxes or load protection devices when driving up to four pair of 8-ohm speakers. The ultra-high-efficiency toroidal transformer and 40,000 uF bulk storage capacitance ensures that peak current demands are always met. This translates into exceptionally tight bass response and improved dynamic headroom. Buffered loop outputs allow routing of the stereo inputs to an additional power amplifier or surround sound processor without signal loss or degradation. Three pairs of gold-plated,
five-way speaker binding posts make it easy to connect multiple speakers.
The remote trigger input mutes the amplifier when the preamp is turned off.
Gain pots for each channel are accessible via the front panel.

The concept is simple. Instead of walking up to a box mounted on the wall, all you need to do is pick up any telephone to communicate throughout the home. Easy-to-remember key presses initiate features such as Whole-House Paging, Phone-To-Phone Intercom, Two-Way Door Station Communications and Caller-On-Hold. Pages are heard over the same speakers that were installed for music distribution. If a caller is on hold, the Music-On-Hold feature will keep them entertained. Additional features let homeowners control door/gate latches and activate relay-controlled devices such as lighting and garage door openers from any touchtone phone. Add up to two ELAN Door Stations and digital door chimes broadcast throughout the home. And the Z·600
isn’t just for use with ELAN Z·Systems–it’s a stand-alone component
that integrates into any receiver-based system in lieu of an old-fashioned
intercom! |

Buffered audio loop outputs allow sources to be shared between Z·System and home theater components without signal degradation. Built-in Music Detect circuitry conveys the on/off status of each source to all Z·PADs, allowing for intelligent power management of sources. Source and system status is displayed on all Z·PADs and VIA!® Touchpanels in the system, providing user-friendly feedback for enhanced control. Each zone output level can be independently fixed, making the creation of sub-zones with volume controls as easy as flipping a dip switch. Six source-specific IR output ports allow multiple same-model sources to be used in the system without contention. An IR ALL port is also provided. Zone-specific Bass, Treble, Loudness and Spatial Enhancement settings are stored in the Z·630’s non-volatile flash memory. The Do-Not-Disturb feature ensures that ELAN Page and Door Chime audio will be heard in a zone only if it’s desired. The Z·630 also
provides a Music-on-Hold output signal and has a Page/Door Chime input interface
to the Z·600 Communications Controller. The 12VDC remote output trigger
synchronizes amplifiers and intelligent power managers to zone on/off, page
and door chime activity in the system. The Z·630 will even wake up
VIA!® Touchpanels whenever the doorbell button is pressed or a page is
initiated. |

Six front panel gain pots, signal presence and clip indicators make setup a snap! A convenient buss mode switch allows one stereo input to be routed to three pairs of amplified outputs without the need for additional patch cables. Independent bridge mode switches allow mixing of bridged and un-bridged channels. Buffered Line Level Outputs can be Y-Corded for mono signal applications. The built-in IR connecting block can power up to four IRC3000/IRC2020/IR receivers and four IR2040 emittersÐgreat for standalone IR control applications! The remote trigger input mutes the amplifier when the preamp is turned off. The ultra-high-efficiency
toroidal transformer and 40,000 uF bulk storage capacitance ensures that
peak current demands are always met. |

INCREASING THE LIFE OF YOUR AUDIO EQUIPMENT... The Z·FAN was developed to address the growing need for cabinet and rack system cooling, and it does so in a low profile, unobtrusive fashion. This single-rack fan design will draw up to 150 cubic feet of air per minute. Dual 12VDC brushless motors maintain whisper quiet operation without commutator brush noise feeding back into the 120V circuits. Temperature-sensitive
speed control provides just the right amount of cooling at just the right
times, thus minimizing background fan noise. The remote trigger input turns
the fan on and off when needed. The trigger loop output can be daisy chained
to additional triggerable devices or Z·FANs, and the two-minute turn
off delay circuit prevents heat build up in the rack once the equipment has
been turned off. |
